No alphabetical order in a drop down list

Issue

Values from a drop down list are not displayed in alphabetical order when I choose this option in the List options tab.

Explanation

The List options tab contains values in several languages. It is therefore not possible to sort the values, without knowing which language to use to sort the values.

The option Sort values by alphabetical order only applies to the display in the item sheets, depending on the language selected by the user, in their user preferences or when they log in.

You may however use the Sort values manually option to select the suitable order by simple drag and drop. The values will therefore be displayed in the media sheets in this order, no matter the user language.
